I worked with David Jimison to help create the mood and wall paintings through a huge maze installed at Eyebeam in November 2008. Our idea was to help give people path finding symbols to help navigate themselves through the maze and also to help build a mythology around the labyrinth and the New York City underground.
Here are some images of the murals:
The party was a huge success, showcased another project with David and Jeff Crouse, BoozBot, and garnered praise from a number of media sources including the following:
The Gothamist
WNYC
Free Williamsburg
The murals were based off of a series of illustrations about a story I adapted from the Mayan myth of the Underworld.
